The Way Home
Do you believe in heaven or a better place than Earth, somewhere up there?
What if I told you there is no Heaven up there?
Yes, you read that right.
Why?
Simply because Adam and Chava were not supposed to die.
What does that tell us?
Moreover, if there is a better place up there, why do we believe the deceased will rise on Earth?
In fact, there is a blessing we recite in our morning prayers about the resurrection of dead people in the future.
Even Nosterdames, who lived centuries ago and is a famous fortune teller, has confirmed the resurrection of the dead in the future.
Yes, Earth was the heaven the Creator gave to humans, but humans turned it into hell and are looking for heaven somewhere else.
When the Creator made Adam and Chava, He put them in heaven, which was on Earth, and told them to multiply and grow.
The Creator had made Adam and Chava the reason for everything that happens in nature and warned them not to change the natural order or default setting of nature.
But once they disobeyed the Creator, acted weak, and ate the forbidden fruit, they changed the default setting of the creation and doomed nature.
As a result, they brought death to the world.
When a soul leaves the body, it becomes weak simply because separation always creates weakness.
The body and soul are of opposite sexes, and like a married couple, they need each other just like we need our spouse.
That's why, after leaving this world, the soul wants to come back and unite with a body to become strong or complete again.
Yes, Earth is the ultimate destination for humans.
But will we return to Earth again at the end of time?
Are we eligible to come back to this world and live in peace and harmony forever?
That's why this life is a test...a very hard test.
Yes, no pain, no gain.
Why should the Creator bring us back to life?
What we do know is that before the sin of Adam and Chava, it was their strength that kept them alive, but after losing their strength, they died. Yes, it is the strength that gives us life.
Therefore, we need to have boundaries and, just like the forbidden fruit, not fall for the pleasures we don't really need.
In Noah's time, there was no religion nor any commandments to obey. Humans were not taught any moral laws to follow; yet the Creator killed them all because of immorality. He expects humans to follow a simple rule in life: if you wouldn't like it done to you, don't do it to others.
A simple morality means a lot to the Creator and could bring us back to life again.
Think of morality as a glass/vessel and holiness as wine.
We cannot possibly drink wine without a glass or vessel.
Similarly, we cannot possibly bring holiness into our lives if we are not moral or a vessel.
Morality is not limited to humans only. If you're a moral person, that means your essence is moral, and you won't hurt animals for any reason, except for a higher purpose ordained by the Creator.
So, next time you think about heaven, know that the way home is Earth.
